People matter!
My students are human, and I never lose sight of that. This is the calling, after all, the passion of our profession should be to constantly strive to improve our ability to impart what we know about dogs to our clients, to keep up with the latest research in human education so that we can teach you to do your best by your dogs!
It doesn’t matter how wonderfully I communicate with my own dogs, or what my own dogs have accomplished if I cannot teach you how to do the same with yours. At Dog Potential Unleashed, the goal is to unleash your potential. We are devoted to working with you so that you can reach the goals you’ve set for yourself and your dog, and a track record of doing just that for a wide variety of people and their dogs, with a multitude of dreams.
In the beginning...
My childhood was filled with every kind of pet except dogs. Birds, cats, turtles, mice, rabbits, fish, even a couple of pigs graced my early life. Each one teaching me something about myself, something about how living things communicate with one another, how we share emotions, how we come to care for one another and become members of the same team. By the time I got a dog when I was 15, there was no question of my passion.
By the age of seven I knew I wanted to be an animal trainer, my career choice never wavered. The process of how living things learn, solving the puzzle of how best to teach each individual, never grows old.
My life has been devoted to studying the science of this conversation we have, this remarkable opportunity to share our lives with different species and become friends and teams that better each others' existence.

Frankie Joiris
Teacher, trainer, competitor and dog sport coach. As a theatrical animal trainer, I have trained animals for Sex in the City, Law and Order (SVU and Criminal Intent), Instinct, The Good Wife, Blue Blood, The Sopranos, and many more as well as major motion pictures for Disney, Columbia, Hulu, etc. I have also worked trained animals for live performance at Lincoln Center, Club 57 and other NYC theaters as well as countless commercials for major brands. My animals have appeared on Letterman, Conan, Good Morning America, and The Today Show, and worked with such stars as Angelina Jolie, Jon Hamm, Tina Fey, and Tracy Morgan. I am a nationally acclaimed seminar presenter. Specializing in problem solving for teams who need a little help finding their best communication style.
